What you will do...

This is a field position, requiring the adjuster to attend the loss site in person in most cases. The caseload predominantly consists of first party claims where structural damage has been sustained, and contents loss or business interruption is a factor. Total loss fires or other high-valued claims are handled with oversight from the team leader or claims manager.
- Provision of superior claims service in the handling of all types of medium to complex personal property and farm losses, including fire, water, and burglary claims.
- Files will need to be accurately documented, including statements, photographs, activity notes and estimates.
- Claims involving structural damage will require the ability to prepare a scope of the loss.

What you will bring...
- 3-4 years of property claims experience.
- College diploma or university degree (or equivalent work experience).
- Actively pursuing CIP designation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- An ability to work independently.
- Superior communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Experience with Xactimate or similar computer estimating system.
- Familiarity with arson and fraud issues.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. - Knowledge of agricultural industry an asset.
- Previous field adjusting experience handling total loss house fires or farm claims a definite asset.
