**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Performing calibration and verification per ISO17025 requirements on a variety of measuring instruments and equipment, ensuring they meet specified accuracy and precision requirements.
- Developing calibration standards procedures and test methods, adhering to ISO 17025 standards. Maintaining calibration records to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 requirements for documentation and traceability.
- Conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of measurement equipment, including environmental chambers, temperature probe, flow controllers, power supply, breath alcohol simulators, equipment malfunctions troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
- Collaborating with product development activities, performing verification and function testing, data analysis and reports.
- Engaging in compliance with relevant quality management systems. Participating in internal and external audits related to calibration activities.
- Supporting other departments to ensure calibration & test needs are met.
- Handling other laboratory related tasks as directed by management.
**Qualifications**
- University Degree or equivalent in a related field of engineering, physics, or metrology.
- Proficiency in using various measurement instruments and equipment.
- Knowledge of calibration methods and procedures, including measurement uncertainty and traceability.
- Familiarity with certification and documentation compliance with ISO/ IEC 17025.
- Hands on experience in laboratory setting, minimum of three years.
- Experience in the development and execution of testing protocols is required.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO17025 is a definite asset. IATF16949, ISO 17034 experience would be a plus.
- Detail oriented, self-motivate and problem solver. Ability to shift focus among multiple priorities quickly required.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both verbally and written.
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis of data (average, standard deviation, trend plotting, etc.) desired.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
