Job Description:
SUMMARY:
In accordance with established procedures, policies, and available tools, this specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing learning and development solutions. The role serves various company groups, departments, new hires, and current employees. It requires strong instructional design skills, creativity, and innovative approaches to create effective strategies and solutions that meet requestor objectives, supporting productivity and enhancing client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Needs Analysis- Conduct all phases of instructional design, including needs analysis, research, design, development, evaluation, assessment methods, and publishing in various formats, considering adult learning principles.- Assess existing knowledge and skills for each operational group by conducting needs assessments and recommending training concepts, educational goals, methodologies, and appropriate methods aligned with each group’s specific objectives.- Coordinate with vendors, the Client Solutions Service, and affiliates to develop training plans and gather additional information needed to support the training strategy and achieve new product delivery goals.- Liaise with process owners and the management team to support teams in achieving technical support and distribution targets.

Training Content Development- Develop training strategies for all product and tool launches within the product development cycle.- Collaborate with technical experts to convert content into engaging, performance-oriented learning for classroom and online environments.- Lead training sessions for new product launches, utilizing various media that integrate practical exercises and scenarios where applicable.

Training Delivery and Learning Analysis- Ensure the execution of training plans, trainer training sessions, development of training materials, internal website content design, logistics, and delivery to meet program objectives and ensure all staff is prepared to sell and support the product.- Develop online assessments aligned with learning objectives, linking assessment results to competency measurements and operational outcomes. Evaluate learners and training design.- Gather feedback on successes, opportunities, lessons learned, and recommendations for future sessions.- Document all steps for technicians, including procedures, cheat sheets, and user guides, to provide learners with resources for future reference.- Coordinate necessary supplier-provided training for new product launches.- Conduct post-training support activities (side-by-side work, observations, call listening, etc.).- Actively seek new methods of training and facilitation development to ensure ongoing evolution.- Communicate effectively and lead audience dialogues using classroom training, presentations, discussion groups, and workshops.- Review and provide feedback on training material development and delivery to enhance quality, readability, and consistency.- As part of their role, employees must take all necessary measures to ensure their health and safety, as well as that of their colleagues and the general public. They must wear available personal protective equipment at all times and adhere to Cogeco's health and safety policies, procedures, guidelines, and instructions.

To support Cogeco's goal of delivering excellent service to current and prospective clients, the incumbent must always be attentive and open to the needs of internal and external clients, helping to resolve any issue or concern promptly and professionally, while ensuring the solution meets the client's needs.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
A university degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

WORK EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three (3) years of experience related to the responsibilities.

SPECIFIC SKILLS- Knowledge of adult learning concepts (e.g., peer or group coaching) - an asset.- Bilingualism in French/English is mandatory.- Strong people and team orientation with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with employees, vendors, and clients at all levels.- Demonstrated ability to effectively convey knowledge in a structured and remote format.- Creativity and innovation in training methods.- Solid understanding of broadband, cable, telecom, and internet industries and technologies.- Occasionally variable work schedule (evenings and weekends).
