Full-time Hotel Pool Attendant

**Hours of Work: 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.**

**THE ROLE**:
The Pool Attendant ensures excellence in guest safety and cleanliness throughout the entire duration of guest use of the Recreation Centre and Courtyard.

**ACTIVITIES**:
The duties and responsibilities for the Pool Attendant include, but are not limited to the following:

- Provide genuine service and assistance to guests with any questions they may have regarding the Recreation Centre and/or hotel.
- Ensure the facility does not exceed the legal number of guests in the pool area at any time.
- Ensure that all posted safety rules are complied with.
- Control the facility and pool area from any horseplay or any activities which may endanger other hotel guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Recreation Centre and Courtyard by ensuring all areas are left neat and tidy.
- Test and ensure pool and whirlpool chemicals are at appropriate levels at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the Housekeeping Department, Duty Manager pertaining to towel supplies, hand towels, soap, repairs required etc.
- Always follow established safety procedures and wear protective equipment when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

**COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING**:

- Fluent in English, French an asset
- Previous hotel cleaning and customer service experiences are an asset
- Pool chemical experience preferred
- Current First Aid certification preferred
- Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 lbs without assistance
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand or walk for an extended time period
- Flexible attitude to scheduled shifts - the incumbent will need to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
- Flexible and energetic with the ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrated stellar attendance
- Outstanding organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Work well independently and in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Self-motivated, honest, creative, capable of working in a team environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $17.66-$18.16 per hour
