**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Laurus is looking for an individual to join its fun and dynamic team of instructors for its new After School & Weekend Program The Youth Arts Instructor will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging 60 minute lesson plans to a group of children in a specific art discipline of their choice such as dance, drama, music, visual arts, etc. Any expertise in a teachable art discipline is welcome

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to)**
- Managing a group of 5-20 elementary aged kids
- Creating and following lesson plans
- Creating and maintaining a fun and dynamic learning environment
- Creating and planning fun & engaging material
- Taking attendance
- Tracking student progress
- Problem solving
- Safety of children
- Communicating with parents
- Reporting directly to Program Coordinator

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Knowledge and experience in one or multiple art disciplines
- A license or certificate to coach or teach (if required for that specific activity)
- Experience working with children

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5-10 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Laval, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
