**_DCL Aviation, part of the North-American division of one of the world’s leading providers of Ground Support Equipment, offers you a great opportunity to work at Vancouver airport as a GSE Technician._**

Your main duties will be:

- Trouble shoot and repair ground support equipment which may consist of but are not limited to forklifts, belt loaders, air conditioning units, ground power units, baggage carts, stair trucks and more.
- Inspect Ground Support Equipment to identify defective or broken parts.
- Rebuild & Repair Complex Electrical Systems
- Obtain replacement parts, installing and/or making repairs as required.
- Completes work orders and provides status on any “open” work orders.
- Ensure the safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security and all government statutory requirements.

The main requirements are:

- Valid certificate as Automotive Service Technician, Commercial Transport Mechanic, or Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Inter-Provincial Red Seal.
- Current security clearance
- Possess or have the ability to obtain RAIC Pass
- Clean driving record with certified copy of Drivers Abstract.
- Knowledge of drivetrains, diesel and gasoline engines, propane fuel systems, complex electrical and hydraulic systems, and metal fabrication and welding.
- Ability to read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Experience with troubleshooting & repair of complex hydraulic and electrical systems
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Ability to travel within and outside of Canada
- Experience working on Ground Support Equipment
- Be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma, GED or work experience equivalent.
- Lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces on a regular basis
- Climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods
- Two years of experience are desirable

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
