Takeout Window Attendant

The Harrison Park Inn is looking for hard working, highly motivated individuals to join our team for the summer as takeout window attendants. The Harrison Park Inn takeout window is a popular destination during warm weather months for customers interested in ice cream, fries, burgers, and much more. This position is a great opportunity for anyone interested in entering the food service industry or for someone with some experience already who is interested in expanding into a full service restaurant.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Greeting and interacting with customers in a friendly manner.
- Taking orders and keying them into a computer system.
- Thoroughly checking orders and handing them out to customers.
- Scooping ice cream, making milkshakes, preparing soft drinks
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment as well as a clean takeout area outside/around the restaurant.
- Restocking work stations (ice cream freezers, pop fridges, condiments) and performing routine inventory checks

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to handle working in an extremely fast paced work environment
- Team player who is also able to work independently with limited supervision
- Punctual and reliable

This is a contract position that runs until Labour Day. There is a possibility of extending some positions to permanent part time into the fall (based on work performance and availability). There may also be room to move on to other positions in the restaurant either in the fall or next summer (host, prep cook, dish washer).

**Takeout window attendants are also entitled to a portion of the monthly tip share.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
