Daycare Teacher Assistant

**Position**:
We are seeking a Daycare Teacher Assistant to work at our thriving licensed Children's Centre in Invermere, in a supporting role for our Infant/Toddler program and Group 3 to 5.

The position would require someone who is alert, joyful and physically fit, to work in a busy and dynamic environment. A creative team player, whose responsibility and conscientiousness would contribute to our caring environment.

**Our Facility**:
The facility is a renovated heritage building in downtown Invermere. Close to the beach and playgrounds. We have a bright character building with a gym, indoor climber, huge yards, pump track, old growth trees, fun playground equipment, summer outdoor water play, a bunny, fish, and gardens.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To assist our lead educators with delivery of early childhood education activities and self care skills that promote independence.
- To contribute to care of the facility and equipment throughout the day, in conjunction with scheduled opening and closing duties.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- To develop and maintain positive, open, and healthy relationships with parents, co-workers, and community.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children (in a care giving setting is an asset)
- Commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children

**Position Requirements**:

- Responsible Adult Certification or willingness to attain (20 hour course will be paid for by employer)
- Criminal Record Check will be requested

**Good to Have**:

- ECE or ECEA
- Child First Aide
- CPR Certificate

**Start Date**:

- Urgent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
