When the snow melts we kick into summer operations. Bike Big White was built for riders by riders and features some of North America’s newest and best lift-accessed mountain biking. As **Front Desk Manager, **you will assist the Accommodations Manager with the daily operations of 200 hotel units in 4 different hotel properties during the winter season. You will interact with and supervise front end staff, including Front Desk Agents, Night Auditors, Bellmen, Housekeeping Staff and Duty Managers. You will also work closely with other departments within Central Reservations including Maintenance, Owner Relations, Central Mountain Check-In, Transpo and Groups.

After the winter season you will assist and participate in the shutdown of the properties, including inventory and unit inspections. You will help the Accommodations Manager prepare for Summer Operations and you will lead the Front Desk during these summer months while aiding in the planning and coordinating of the upcoming ski season.

**Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to**:

- Oversee daily hotel operations while interacting with employees and creating a continuous improving environment through teamwork
- Assist the Accommodations Manager with recruiting and training of staff
- Assist with scheduling
- Supervise daily shift operations ensuring correct procedures are followed
- Monitor staff performance
- Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times by all staff
- Handle employee progressive disciplinary procedures as required
- Troubleshoot all guest issues and problems
- Address guest complaints and determine guest compensation
- Ensure accurate information is provided to all clients with respect to all Big White and Big White Central Reservations products
- Possess excellent working knowledge of all aspects of the hotels including all amenities, front desk department and housekeeping department
- Be comfortable and familiar with all front of house position duties
- Organize Group arrival and departures and schedule accordingly
- Assist with season start-up and shutdown procedures
- Work with the front desk during the summer season, assisting in all summer operations
- Understand how everything operates in guest room
- Fulfill tasks in a time sensitive manner
- Follow all Health & Safety protocols/procedures, including chemical handling
- Assist guests with all questions and requests
- Any other reasonable request made by the Accommodations Manager

**Job Specifications**:

- Full-time - working up to 40 hours per week
- Start date early/mid-June
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Starting wage - $25.00 per hour
- Staff accommodation available for approved applicants
