YMCA Youth Exchanges Canada is a national program offering youth aged 12-17 the opportunity to participate in reciprocal exchanges that foster leadership, cultural understanding, and community engagement. For over 25 years, this program has helped young people connect with others across Canada, build relationships, and explore the country’s diversity. The Regional Coordinator is responsible for the promotion, coordination, and delivery of the Youth Exchanges Program within the regions of the Prairies and Territories. Reporting directly to the local Program Manager, and to the National Manager for programmatic oversight, the Regional Coordinator works collaboratively as part of a national team to provide direct support to youth groups, facilitate safe and meaningful exchanges, and ensure high-quality program delivery aligned with national standards.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Recruit and promote the program to schools, youth groups, and community organizations.
- Ensure accurate documentation including consent forms, host plans, incident reports, and evaluations.
- Provide guidance on safety, emergency preparedness, cultural sensitivity, and inclusion.
- Maintain consistent communication and coaching with Group Leaders.
- Monitor exchange activities, support compliance with program standards, and submit regular reports to the National Office.
- Coordinate training and orientation sessions for Group Leaders.
- Assist in the administration of special measures funding and budget oversight.
- Collaborate with the National Manager on outreach strategy, regional planning, and service improvement.

**What You'll Need for This Job**
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in youth work, education, social sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with youth or in program coordination.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in community engagement, group facilitation, and crisis response.
- Understanding of youth development, cultural diversity, and inclusive practices.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is a strong asset.
- Availability to travel both within the region and nationally.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
