**SUMMARY OF POSITION**

The Night shift lead is critical to the successful operations of Summit Tools stores. The Night shift lead contributes to the success of the store by maintain efficient, accurate stocking of inventory. He/she is also responsible for ensuring that the store consistently meets performance expectations in terms of stocking, cleanliness and price tagging accuracy.

**Responsibilities and Tasks**
- Recruit, develop, motivate, and hold the stocking, tagging, and cleaning team accountable to meet established objectives and targets
- Monitor and improve the productivity of teams through strong communication, team building, and effective scheduling, including conducting staff performance reviews regularly and when required
- Plan, organize, delegate, and follow up on projects to achieve store goals, including coordinating stocking products from receiving to appropriate sales floor locations and ensuring up-stocking of products from overstock to proper sales floor locations
- Maintain company merchandising standards, enforce store policies and procedures, and ensure accurate signage and pricing throughout the store, including building promotional endcaps with instruction from the inventory manager

- Coordinate with cleaners for the general cleanliness of all work areas, store, lunchroom, and washrooms according to company standards
- Maintain and promote health and safety procedures, ensuring team member compliance and submitting inventory adjustments to the inventory manager when necessary
- Supervise the overnight stocking process to ensure efficiency and accuracy, coordinating with the inventory manager to prioritize stock replenishment based on sales trends and customer demand
- Conduct regular inventory audits during the night to identify discrepancies and minimize shrinkage and provide training and mentoring to team members on stocking techniques, product knowledge, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and operations, to optimize store layout and product placement, and assist with the implementation of special promotions or seasonal displays during the night shift
- Responsible for properly securing and locking up the store
- Respond promptly to any issues that arise during the night, maintain open communication channels with management and team members to address any concerns or suggestions for improvement, and participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance leadership and management skills

**Required Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to understand and operate a POS and inventory computer systems.
- Ability to lead and manage a team to achieve common goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills..
- Ability to plan, organize, delegate and follow up on team’s activities and projects.
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, adapt and cope with challenging situations.

**Experience required**
- Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in stocking
- Minimum 2 years of supervising 7 employees or more
- Must have record of improving business revenue and profitability

**GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS**
- This position is required to work through the evening.
- Significant output of physical effort is required through lifting, bending, pulling, twisting
- Working under tight deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
