We are a team, and we are looking for "A" players.** **You will be an integral member of a rapidly growing service team which manages a large Class A commercial real estate portfolio.** The main responsibilities of this position is to Service and Maintain Smart Watering Systems (SWS) clients’ sites. These sites have indoor and outdoor watering systems which require routine maintenance and service to operate at peak performance. Your role as a **Technician** is to work cohesively with other team members to service and maintain these sites. The work performed will directly impact the success of SWS and the relationships with its clients. **Qualifications** - (2) Years experience as a Junior Irrigation Technician - Clean Driving History with a Valid Ontario “G” License - Demonstrated ability in irrigation repairs of large scale systems. - Ability to be organized and complete tasks/jobs efficiently, effectively and to the standards of the company - Ability to problem-solve and formulate logical solutions to any issues which may arise prior to or after the arrival to job sites - Experience with various types of machinery (i.e. vibratory plows, Power Tools, etc.) - Exceptionally good at communicating with direct reports, other team members and support roles **Your Direct report** The direct report for this position is the _Service Manager_. You will work alongside the _Service Manager_ and Technician Team to complete service work. You will work closely with Dispatch to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and to the highest standard. **Responsibilities** As an integral part of SWS, it is your responsibility to perform all work to the best of your knowledge and abilities. **Repairing Systems** Your main responsibilities revolve around the servicing and maintenance of irrigation systems and indoor water management systems. - Replacement of damaged or defective irrigation components such as: sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, fittings, enclosements, and other components as needed. - Repair damaged or defective irrigation lateral piping and mainline piping. **Maintaining Systems** - Opening irrigation systems (start-ups) - Closing irrigation systems (winterizations) - Performing routine maintenance (Full Seasons) - Responding to Service Calls and Flow Alarms provided by Dispatch - Work with Water Management to keep Flow Data up to date and reliable **Promote Water Saving Upgrades** - Provide clients with information on how to reduce excessive water usage on their systems - Provide information to Sales about potential upgrades for sites/ clients. **Team Member Training and Support** - As an experienced team member, you have the responsibility to your colleagues to ensure that they are performing at their best. - Train and assist Junior Technicians when needed. - Assist other Technicians when needed **Compensation**: **Experience based compensation** **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $23.00-$28.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Extended health care - Flexible schedule Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay Ability to commute/relocate: - Hornby, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - Irrigation: 2 years (required) Work Location: One location
