Summer Student Intern - Hospitality
Full-time, 4-month term

As a Student Intern, you will have an opportunity to join a conference services team and gain real world
experience in a campus setting. You will be expected to:

- Assist and execute hospitality related activities and logistics.
- Develop skills vital to your career as a School of Business graduate.
- Be passionate about hospitality and event planning industry.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

As a member of a conference services team, you will be required to:

- Communicating with clients about contract agreements.
- Attending weekly team meetings.
- Organizing hospitality related logistics including room bookings, cleaning, and setup.
- Upselling and processing catering service requests for events.
- Delivering excellent customer service and implementing hospitality best practices.
- Implementing new services such as AirBnB, Explore Edmonton, etc.
- Reviewing and revising event contracts and agreements.
- Implement and review customer feedback assessments to measure success and satisfaction.
- Analyze space utilization and determine efficiencies to maximize capacity.
- Creating marketing material and a social media presence.

**QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed minimum 2nd year of a university program with a business focus is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new concepts and industry trends quickly.
- Self-motivated and willing to pitch in on all tasks.
- Team player.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience desirable.
