**ABOUT CHILD DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE**
Child Development Institute (CDI) is a leading children’s mental health agency in the City of Toronto offering a range of services to approximately 3,000 children ages 0‐12, youth ages 13-18 and their families each year. Our mission is to promote and support the healthy development of children and to strengthen the families and communities in which they live. We provide four streams of service to families in need: early intervention, family violence, healthy child development and specialized mental health services for children and youth with learning disabilities.

We are seeking a goal-oriented, collaborative, and trusted Manager of Family Violence Services to join our dynamic
Clinical Services team. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinical Manager, FVS will be responsible to provide rigorous leadership towards the delivery with excellence of quality evidence informed mental health counselling for children/youth 4-18 and their families within a multi-disciplinary framework and ensure that the delivery of CDI programs and services are aligned with the mission, values, policies, procedures standards and priorities of the organization. The Manager will also be responsible for program management and supervision of clinicians in the following programs: Shelter, Mothers in Mind, Here to Help, School Liaison, and Transitional
Housing and Support Worker.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Accepts and works within the framework of the agency’s stated vision, mission, values and goals
- Provides direct supervision to clinicians to ensure provision of quality services in accordance with sound management practices, the Collective Agreement and agency approach to supervision
- Evaluates and regularly reviews performance strengths and issues against established benchmarks and key performance indicators with assigned staff in keeping with agency policy and service standards.
- Recruits, hires, trains, orients, supervises and evaluates assigned staff, students and volunteers
- Manage, lead, develop and establish direction and work priorities for the clinical staff
- Ensures that clinical practices are evidence-based, meet ethical and professional standards, are family
- centred, and are congruent with the mission and direction of the agency
- Support continuous professional development plans for clinical staff
- Maintains a current knowledge of relevant clinical practices and theoretical models
- Responds effectively to elevated client concerns and complaints
- Ensures linkages to parents and program participants that balances a responsive professional model with empowerment and mutual aid philosophies
- Participates in the People Managers Group and Clinical Managers group to establish operational policies, standards and procedures
- Approves expenditures within procedural requirements and manages assigned financial resources
- Monitors the volume of service delivered against approved agency standards and anticipates emerging service patterns, issues and needs
- Prepares service and work plans for each program under their supervision and regularly reviews with program team
- Continuously improve processes, practices, and efficiency of service delivery
- Works with the Associate Director, Clinical Services to monitor budgets, service planning and quality assurance
- Arranges staff scheduling and coverage as appropriate for service delivery
- Works collaboratively with members of the Clinical Managers group to ensure overall coordination and effective agency operations
- Works effectively as a team member in management processes and balances individual and program perspectives with perspectives of the overall well being of the agency
- Assumes a lead role in the additional management level projects and initiatives as assigned
- Participates in program development planning, research activities and ongoing evaluation of services
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Assumes a clear community profile of visibility and leadership that well represents the organization
- Ensures that CDI programs and services are aligned with community needs and that appropriate relationships are established to advance program effectiveness.
- Performs other assigned duties in the interests of the agency as assigned.

▪ Master’s degree in Social Work or related clinical discipline.
▪ A minimum of two (2) years in clinical supervision and program management
▪ Registration with a regulated health professional college (College of Social Workers, Psychotherapy)
