Our headquarters are located in Port Elgin, NB, and we have a second manufacturing location in Amherst, NS.

We are currently seeking a Technical Product Specialist in the Engineering/R&D Department. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

The objective of this position is to contribute to the growth of Atlantic Windows through product development and improvement.

**Responsibilites of the position are**:

- Provide technical support to manufacturing team for troubleshooting, clarification of specifications, process improvements.
- New product development and prototype building.
- Maintain documentation for certification agencies.
- Developing and maintaining Quality Assurance system
- Product testing.
- Provide technical support to sales team, including costing and feasibility checks.
- Creating CAD drawings.
- Assisting in maintaining ERP system.
- Tooling/jig design and fabrication.
- Assist in sourcing and implementing new equipment.
- Create and maintain documentation of processes, procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
- Auditing and maintaining audit documentation.
- Dealing with suppliers when dealing with defective materials.
- Any other duties as requested/required.

**Requirements**:

- Post secondary education in engineering or technical program. A combination of work experience and equivalent education will be considered.
- Proficient in English
- Experience with CAD (AutoCAD, Fusion).
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
- Experience with 3D printing.
- Technical documentation skills.
- Knowledge of programming logic
- Hands-on & practical building experience.
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem solving skills.
- Strong math and trigonometry Skills
- Capable of working in either Amherst or Port Elgin facility.
- Strong team player, able to work with others.
- Self-motivated.
- Curious and willingness to learn
- Good interpersonal / communication skills.
