- providing one-on-one support to the deaf/blind student who has mild to severe impairments and disabilities and allowing him/her to interact with the environment;
- providing motivation, sensory input, accurate information and a means of receptive/expressive communication;
- acting as the eyes and ears of the deaf/blind student;
- other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

**Required Qualifications**:

- a secondary school diploma;
- a 2 year Community college diploma in a related field (ex.DSW,CYW, SSW or a University Degree in a child related field of study);
- 2 years of related experience ;
- CPR, First Aid and ASL;
- Braille and CPI would be assets;
- and the ability to work as a team member.
- Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

**This is a term position with an anticipated start date of September 8, 2025 to June 25, 2026, with an annual salary range of approximately $48,782 - $52,246.**
