Black Sheep Mattress Company is an exciting local business, specializing in building and selling handcrafted, luxury mattresses from all-natural materials. We emphasize sustainability and transparency, while focusing on creating meaningful, long lasting relationships with our customers. We not only do our very best in building mattresses of the highest quality, but we’re also looking to build a reputation of excellence, in such a way that considers all of our stakeholders as well as the natural environment.

We are looking for a Production Associate who can serve as an integral part of the manufacturing process.

**The Position**:

- Full-time (up to 40 hours per week)
- Medical/dental benefits provided
**Product Construction**:
Making our products in-house specific to our customers' needs and using natural materials is what sets us apart from other options on the market.
- Participating in building mattresses, bases, headboards, and other products according to BSM specifications and standards
- Cutting fabric to size
- Preparing raw materials for further production
- Picking and packing customer orders for shipment or delivery
- Packaging mattresses and mattress bases for shipping
- Helping organize the shop and work area
- Helping clean up

**Qualifications**:

- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be safety conscious
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Good English speaking, reading, and writing skills
- Openness to learn
- Strong work ethic
- Attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Communication & interpersonal skills
- Organizational abilities
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Problem-solving skills
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Experience with Power Tools and Air Tools considered an asset
- Previous experience in a manufacturing working environment is an asset
- Sewing skills is an asset
- Proficiency with gmail, google sheets & docs is an asset

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
