Requisition ID: 158050 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. - scheduled and ad hoc basis to all users within the PIC, DWIC, Institutional and 1832AM Fund Accounting Business lines. **MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES**: Contributes to the activities relating to Portfolio Operations within the Unit by: - Operational and technical triage support, main support for Team Inbox, for PIC, DWIC, and Institutional and 1832AM (Fund Accounting) - monitor and follow-up all calls until completely resolved. - Provides training and guidance to new and existing staff, for both PIC field as well as other Operational Teams - Document and update procedures to support new team members and new processes introduced on Mpower - Participates in quarterly MPower code implementations - Testing in UAT/regression testing, opening tickets with vendor for investigation/remediation - Learn new modules/Functions within Mpower functions to effectively support users on the new functionality - Participates as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on investigations/escalations related to system and operational tickets - Maintains and updates templates for Mpower access, as approved by Compliance, including Audit inquiries related to Mpower accesses - Responsible for ad-hoc project deliverables related to Portfolio Ops/Mpower - Annual external audit support - Provides coverage during absences i.e. PIC Statements, Pricing and DWIC (trades/statements) and Summit monthly processes. - Provide alternate possible procedures to increase the efficiency of all supported business lines administration department to better service other departments Perform customer Service duties in a professional and thorough manner by: - Communicate effectively with all levels of staff including Senior Management, exercise proper judgement and ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times. - Set working priorities autonomously or as part of operations team ensuring both deadlines are met for both standard and rush assignments. - Maintain direct adherence to the company and Bank security procedures. - Performance of other duties as assigned which will enhance the units support capabilities and success. **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**: - 3-5 years of operations experiences and an in-depth understanding of the Canadian Investment Industry. - The incumbent must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide client support, and maintain documentation - Excellent mathematical, conceptual, analytical and problem - solving skills - Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple initiatives with varying degrees of urgency and differing deadlines - Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize errors and ensure accurate results Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
