As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Planner-Scheduler** to support our project teams with critical planning, budgeting, and invoicing functions. Position Overview
The Planner-Scheduler plays a key role in supporting the operations and project management team. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, managing budgets and cost control, interpreting and assisting in estimates, maintaining the schedule of values, facilitating material and labor requirements and ensuring timely and accurate invoicing for commercial roofing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Interpret detailed estimates and facilitate the project-crew specific scope and budget
- Facilitate crew selection and material requisitioning
- Drive the Project start-up process / checklist linking Estimate to Production
- Track project budgets and actual costs to ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and flag schedule or cost risks, delays, or changes early and propose mitigation plans
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly progress billings and invoices in coordination with the accounting team.
- Assist with change order pricing and impact analysis.
- Support close-out documentation and final invoicing.
- Collaborate with field superintendents, project managers-coordinators, and estimators to align schedule, the schedule of values, invoicing and budget forecasts
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and internal company processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction scheduling, estimating, or cost control—preferably in construction / commercial roofing or a related trade.
- Proficient in project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction financial processes including schedule of values, invoicing, and change order management.
- Strong Excel skills, familiarity with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, Foundation, Viewpoint) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
