**Position Summary**

The Production Manager is responsible for manufacturing our products in a safe, quality oriented, productive, reliable, and cost-effective manner while demonstrating leadership and great people management skills. This position requires a hands-on manager with excellent problem-solving skills and a sharp focus on continuous improvement.

**Standard Job Duties**
- Manages staff to meet production demands, while ensuring quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
- In conjunction with appropriate plant leadership, develops and implements staffing guidelines to maximize utilization of human resources while controlling manpower costs. Hires, supervises, evaluates, and replaces staff as required to ensure performance objectives are met/exceeded.
- Maintain a high degree of leadership and supervisory skills including developing and training teammates so they are prepared to assume positions of increasing responsibilities; evaluate teammates generally annually and give feedback to perform better, and hold shift meetings for Safety and Production items as instructed by the manager.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Provides technical leadership and training to personnel
- Provides documentation and follow up to training and job responsibilities.
- Interrupt the normal flow of work to respond to any short notice production or shipping needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of all safety policies and regulations and ability to address all unsafe acts and conditions.
- Administers policies fairly and consistently.
- Provides coaching and counseling to associates and corrective action when needed, always following the company guidelines.
- Ability to promote the overall goals of the company in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Identifies and assists with implementations for continuous process improvement.
- Review and report all manufacturing numbers daily
- Ensure that all production schedules are strictly adhered to
- Report and update on customers’ back orders affected by production
- May perform other related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience as an operations manager of a warehouse and/or production plant
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Ability to work well within a broader management team to reach common goals
- Experience with ERP systems in managing warehouse/plant operations
- Working knowledge of QMS/GMP
- Working knowledge of OHS
- Must be able to work independently to deliver results
- Lean and/or Six Sigma experience and/or certification is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis software
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Passion for team building and strong conflict resolution skills
- Extensive knowledge of the entire supply chain as well as inventory management principles
- Post-secondary education and/or technical accreditation preferred

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
