General Laborer

**About the Position**
We are seeking a General Laborer & Abatement Technician to join our team of demolition and environmental abatement experts. This position is ideal for someone who is looking to start an exciting career within the construction industry. As a General Laborer & Abatement Technician, you will be responsible for demolition, remediation and abatement work ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
The position is full-time with jobs located within Corner Brook and surrounding areas.
**Responsibilities**:
- Hazardous material containment and clean-up.
- Asbestos removal/abatement.
- Asbestos abatement projects in a variety of industrial and residential work environments.
- Mold remediation.
- Lead abatement.
- Follow company policies for removal procedures to ensure safety.
- Communicate with other employees and lead teams of proper handling of these hazardous waste according to guidelines and compliance.
- Other Duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Knowledge in hazardous materials abatement and remediation preferred.
- Construction industry experience would be an asset.
- Able to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance an asset.
- Willingness to travel to different job sites.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs unaided.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
