_Kumon is an after-school math and reading program that was founded in Japan in 1958. Kumon has a presence in in 55 countries and counting, Kumon has _**over four million students**_ _enrolled at over 25,000 learning centers, and continues to grow each year._

We are seeking an energetic and organized individual who loves working with children. The Math & Reading Center Assistant is responsible for assisting the Kumon Instructor in the overall running of the center including working with students K-12 online and in-person, assignment correction, and preparing/organizing assignments for class.

**Position**:Kumon Math & Reading Center Assistant

**Salary**: $16 / hour

**Availability**: Monday and Wednesday: 3:30pm-7:30pm and maybe an occasional Saturday

**Requirements**:

- Ability to demonstrate a strong MATH and READING aptitude by writing a test in-person at the center
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with adults and children, especially children in elementary and middle school
- Excellent written and public speaking skills
- Commitment to making a difference in the community and a strong belief in the importance of education
- Ability to work all shifts listed

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00 per hour
