**Position Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our financial management operations, overseeing accounting, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control policies. This role also includes financial risk management and quality improvement. Reporting directly to senior management, the Controller will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure alignment with Eden Care Communities Mission and Vision.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting and finance team
- Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Revenue Recognition
- Monitor cash flow needs and transactions
- Coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting variances
- Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze financial performance
- Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
- Communicate financial metrics to senior management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
- Research and resolve technical accounting issues
- Support month-end, year-end, and audit processes
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls
- Contribute to the development and execution of Eden Care Communities strategic plans
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 3-5 years of combined accounting and finance experience
- Professional Designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) is an asset, preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with financial statements, general ledger functions, and month-end/year-end processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and administration
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
