Title: Laboratory Analyst
**Responsibilities**:
The following responsibilities may include some or all of the following or any other tasks assigned directly or indirectly by the Supervisor.
- General chemical and reagent preparations and sample dissolution according to Quality Control Procedures when required
- Preparation of samples & calibration standards for ICP/ICP-MS analysis
- Daily set-up, operation, and maintenance of instrumentation such ICP/ICP-MS
- Disposal of analyzed samples and instrument waste
- Maintenance of all required logs, files, etc. for area of testing
- Maintenance of sample storage areas including sample storage logs
- Compliance with company policies and professional conduct policies
- Assist in ensuring turn-around time meets LIMS/Support site due dates by working overtime when required
**Requirements**:
- Quality focused, detail oriented, pro-active with strong time management and organizational skills
- Technical competence in many aspects of the process; problem solver
- Possess strong analytical abilities with ability to multi-task, prioritize and to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and results oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team member, independently and work with mínimal supervision
- Willing to work shifts, overtime and weekends if required
- Excellent computer knowledge and communication skills in English
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in chemistry or any scientific/engineering discipline, or a 3-year Technician/Technology Diploma and one year experience in a commercial laboratory
- 1 year Experience in an analytical laboratory is an asset

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations:
Actlabs implemented a COVID-19 Safety plan from the onset of the pandemic. Employees and visiting customers are required to wear masks. Routine sanitizing, social distancing, and hand sanitizers are throughout the lab. PPE is provided.
