The Project Execution team is at the heart of our organisation, meeting and exceeding customer expectations while helping to build a sustainable and profitable future. You will lead Excitation System sales orders and projects within the PAEN (Process Automation Energy Industries) division based out of ABB’s office and manufacturing facility located in the Ville Saint Laurent Technoparc (Montreal). This is a telecommuting position where Project Managers work at the office a minimum of 1 day per week and work from home for the remainder of the week. Reporting to the service project manager team lead you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Responsible for all service contract aspects, including review of the general commercial and specific terms & conditions, warranty, as well as quality, packing & shipping and documentation requirements for contracts with subcontractors.
- Takes ownership of emergency service calls by coordinating support to customers from a service engineer. Occasional after-hours support may be required.
- Ensures that planned & emergency site services are booked and invoiced in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Ensures that service projects are controlled and performed within the expected cost and time limits, and in agreement with the contractual requirements.
- Develops project execution plans and leads individual disciplines (engineering, manufacturing, procurement, etc.) to achieve milestones and follow processes in their respective areas.
- Responsible for the development of the Work Breakdown Structure and schedule, including engineering support, purchasing/procurement, delivery, site engineer’s scope of work and/or customer training activities for all service-related contracts.
- Ensures project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Validates the project budget estimate, tracks project actuals, analyzes variances, and takes necessary action to mitigate financial risk and cost over runs and is accountable to achieve project financial performance targets.
- Responsible to prepare all change order proposals, leading customer change order negotiations, and implementing the change order after customer agreement is secured.
- Sets and manages client expectations, develops relationships, and communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
- Identifying, analyzing, and addressing project risks, with regular sharing of lessons learned.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. Project management qualification (PMP) an asset
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in project management, working in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Must have a sense of urgency and be able to communicate with customers in emergency situations.
- Strong organization, leadership, and negotiation skills. Proactive and flexible approach, result-oriented and ability in managing several tasks. Able to conduct meetings and make presentations.
- Experience in power generation and / or working with Canadian or US electric utility companies an asset.
- Bilingual (English and French) is essential. Spanish an asset.
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Project, Excel, Word, etc.)
