**The start date will follow the selection process.**
**Characteristic Duties**: Under the supervision of the Manager of Transit Customer Experience and Planning.
1. Empty cash vaults; sort coins, bills, and bus tickets; record totals.
2. Prepare bank deposits for Transit Services, Parking and Sudbury Airport Sections on a scheduled basis.
3. Receive deposits for bus pass sales, ride card and miscellaneous Transit Services revenues, as required.
4. Maintain ledgers of all deposits.
5. Administer and maintain farebox data and accounts including but not limited to creating accounts by entering data and updating information as required.
6. Prepare shipping labels for Brinks pickup.
7. Prepare ride card and pass orders for delivery.
8. Deliver ride card orders and 31-day bus pass consignments to vendors; collect monies for same and returns to Transit Services for deposit; collect unsold bus passes.
9. Prepare summary of consignment, discounts, transfers of 31-day passes and ride cards.
10. Maintain ride card and bus pass records (i.e., perpetual record, Customer Service Centres and Libraries monthly statistical information, etc.).
11. Shred used bus tickets on a scheduled basis.
12. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS's Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
13. Perform other related duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade XII) Education.
- Over six (6) months up to and including twelve (12) months of related experience.
- Must be able to lift 40lbs/20kgs.
- Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.
- French verbal and written skills an asset.
- Satisfactory health, attendance, and former employment history.
- Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s licence, have an acceptable driving record, and personal insurance coverage.
- Provide, at own cost, a Criminal Record Check.
