**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our funeral home. This role is essential in providing support to grieving families while ensuring that all services are conducted with the utmost professionalism and respect. The Funeral Home Manager will lead a team of staff members, manage logistics, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.

**Duties**
- Supervise and coordinate all funeral home operations, including scheduling services and managing staff assignments.
- Provide guidance and support to families in their time of need, assisting them with planning funeral services that honor their loved ones.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing funeral services.
- Manage inventory of caskets, urns, and other merchandise while maintaining relationships with suppliers.
- Oversee financial transactions related to funeral services, including billing and collections.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on best practices in customer service and operational procedures.
- Handle heavy lifting as required during the preparation of remains and setting up for services.
- Develop sales strategies to promote funeral home services within the community.

**Requirements**:

- Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Alberta (or eligible for licensing).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in funeral service, including supervisory or management experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact compassionately with families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed in various aspects of the job.
- Knowledge of funeral service laws and regulations is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
