**Project Manager Medical and Academic Affairs** - Program:_ Medical Affairs - Status:_ Regular Full Time 8 Hour Shifts, Days Schedule (Subject to Change) - Location:_ Oshawa & Ajax-Pickering - Wage Schedule:_ $49.490 - $67.130 per hour - File Number:_ 2500000508 ***: Reporting to the Director of Medical Affairs, Academic Affairs, and LHEARN, the Project Manager, Medical and Academic Affairs, will provide strategic direction to cultivate and sustain a culture of high performance for investigation and resolution transformation initiatives. They will provide expert guidance, support, and advice on matters relating to credentialed staff and learner performance issues management (non-clinical), with consideration to human rights and workplace harassment/discrimination policies, programs, and processes and relevant legislation. In addition to investigating and supporting the resolution of escalated, complex workplace complaints/concerns the Project Manager assists the Credentialed Staff Leadership and Academic Affairs Leadership to identify themes and broader issues and works with internal and external partners in the development and implementation of relevant initiatives and best practices to advance a positive organizational culture. This includes the facilitation of integrating project planning and delivery to identify dependences, maximize opportunities for collaboration, and minimize risks and issues. The Project Manager will provide expert consultation on organizational initiatives impacting Credentialed Staff (e.g., program-level reviews, planned model of care projects). The Project Manager will drive high-impact initiatives with strategic vision, cross-functional leadership, and relentless execution to deliver transformative results. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**: " Applies knowledge of the Public Hospitals Act, the Lakeridge Health Credentialed Staff By-Laws and Rules and Regulations and Medical Affairs/MAC policies and procedures to provide strategic advice and performance management assistance to Credentialed Staff Leadership and other LH Leaders and the Medical Advisory Committee. " Oversees all elements of project plan development, as well as implementing all necessary processes and practices. " Supports a number of multi-stakeholder project workstreams, including process re-design, simultaneously providing coaching, motivation, and guidance throughout the duration of the projects. " Reviews, monitors, and manages a multi-million-dollar budget for credentialed staff compensation, expertly seeking all available external funding opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial sustainability. " Creates and implement change management plans that minimize team member resistance and maximize team engagement, ensuring smooth adoption of changes impacting relevant team members across the organization. " Engages and communicate with stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood. " Participates in the creation, approval, and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals supporting various change initiatives impacting credentialed staff and learners. " Supports, coordinates, coaches and/or advises on the full range of performance management activities for Credentialed Staff and learners - including but not limited to: " The monitoring process for Associate Staff and other Credentialed Staff with performance improvement plans " Formal mentorship programming " Workplace conflict resolution, including reparative and restorative processes " 360 performance reviews, behaviour counseling, target education and other supportive and remediation strategies " Credentialed staff performance issue management (including disciplinary matters, investigations, and workplace harassment and discrimination issues) " New Medical Leadership curriculum development and training " Specific to Performance Issue Management (non-clinical): " Recognizes and considers sensitive situations and develop appropriate recommendations for performance management on complex and contentious credentialed staff issues, notably where resolution may be challenging (i.e. involving legal counsel, requiring MAC and/or Board involvement) " Ensures appropriate engagement with/awareness of Senior Credentialed Staff and Medical Affairs Leadership, Legal Counsel and other internal and external resources " Identifies when more complex matters should be referred to the Director of Medical Affairs and/or Credentialed Staff Leadership and/or Senior Leadership, ensuring background information is collected and shared Partners with and supports Credentialed Staff Leadership, Medical Affairs, Human Resources, IDEAA, and Legal Services when appropriate to discuss and obtain advice on complex or potentially precedent-setting issues, settlement "strategies and case law " Provides gUidance/advice to Credentialed Staff Leadership, Medical Affairs
