**Job Summary**:
To assist the Service Advisors by reviewing work that was complete by the Service Department staff, informing the customer of the charges incurred, and accepting payments for said work. To answer calls to the Service Department and answer customer inquiries to the best of one’s abilities, redirect calls, or take messages.

**Qualifications/Skills**:
1. Completion of Secondary Education

2. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

3. Basic mathematical skills required for accepting payments, giving correct change, and balancing the closings of Repair Orders (R.O.’s). Some bookkeeping helpful.

4. Excellent telephone phone skills.

5. Sound Computer skills and typing (data entry) skills.

6. Friendly and courteous disposition to deal with both customers and other personnel.

7. Able to handle a diversified group of customers.

8. Positive attitude; congenial, patient

**Job Duties**:

- Greet customers in a pleasant manner and assisting them or directing them to the appropriate person.
- Assist Service advisors by helping those customers who wish to pick up their vehicles after work has been completed.
- In a pleasant manner, review invoice charges and the work that was completed, accepting payment, giving receipts, closing the work order, and releasing the vehicles.
- When releasing vehicles, inform the customers of the location of the parked vehicle.
- Use the computer when necessary to assist in fast customer pick-up of vehicles.
- Respond to customer enquiries.
- Verify all customer charges have been totalled accurately with appropriate taxes applied.
- Accept payments for work completed in the Express Lube. Print invoices and give receipts.
- Thank the customer for his/her patronage.
- Verify each repair order is appropriately stickered for total flat rate time before closing work order and releasing vehicle.
- File completed work orders appropriately and promptly.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries.
- Set up customer appointments
- Be aware of supplies (such as invoices on hand) and replenish supplies when there is mínimal customer activity. Inform co-workers/management of whereabouts should the counter become busy in the meantime.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures in accordance with IAPA, WHIMS and company are strictly adhered to.
- Report to management any circumstance or condition that compromises the integrity or safety of the dealership, personnel, or customers.
- Assist with any function management deems necessary to ensure customer satisfaction, or Tony Graham Automotive Group Department goals.
- Make every effort to achieve the objectives set by management.
- Promote every aspect of the Tony Graham Automotive Group to the client.
- Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with the managers and fellow employees in the positive spirit of teamwork.
- Produce quality work that evidences pride of workmanship. Maintaining the workspace assigned in an organized, clean and safe manner.
- Work in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and legislation.
- Any other duties, as assigned.

- Maintain knowledge and ensure that work is in compliance with the provision of the Act, the regulations and all health and safety policies, programs and practices, as they pertain to the workplace
- Report to the employer, supervisor or a Health & Safety representative, any contravention of the Act or regulations, or any hazard they are aware of.
- Use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing that the employer requires to be used or worn in a manner that will not endanger the client, themselves or another employee.
- Report immediately to the employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the employee is aware and which may endanger the client, themselves or another employee.
- Ensure that they do not engage in any prank, contest, and feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.

**Working Conditions**:

- Toyota drive-through service area
- Stools are provided at the computer stations, but the majority of the day is spent in a standing position while dealing with customers.

- Wide variety of customer types including those who are cerebrally challenged and/or angry.
