**Director of QA (Remote within Canada)**
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Director of Quality Assurance (QA) is a critical role responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive QA strategy to ensure the highest quality and reliability of our products. This position oversees all aspects of quality assurance, including testing, compliance, and process improvement.
The Director of QA will lead the hiring, onboarding, talent development, retention, and succession planning for the QA team. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve processes. As a member of the Engineering Senior Leadership Team, the Director will contribute to fostering a positive work culture and drive the growth and retention of talent within the organization.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Multiview business objectives, clients and product portfolio - by participating in technology roadmap, research, competitive analysis, and other engineering activities.
- Execute the agreed-upon technology strategy; collaborate with VP of Engineering and Engineering Management on strategic projects with a focus on Quality Assurance.
- Lead, manage, mentor and empower the team of skilled QA professionals.
- Define and develop testing strategies to ensure the products are released with the highest standards of quality.
- Define and develop testing plans and lead their execution.
- Provide technical expertise for test automation.
- Lead performance and scalability testing.
- Exercise judgment and discretion in overall planning ranging from team structure to project planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to help plan, coordinate releases, and ensure delivery priorities are aligned.
- Influence the technical direction for the team.
- Help in the definition and ongoing refinement of our agile delivery processes and development standards and practices.

**COMPETENCIES PORTFOLIO**:
**Leadership** - Ability to effectively coach, provide formal feedback, guidance and work with various team members both internally and externally. Strong verbal communication skills are required.
**Technical Skills** - Strong in-depth knowledge as a Director of DevOps to perform the role competently. This level of expertise is gained through extensive on the job experience.
**Problem Solving** -**Proactive in anticipating and resolving complex problems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to meet the requirements of the project are required.
**Organization**-**Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure a smooth client support experience and operational excellence
**Initiative** - Seeks, accepts and completes new tasks using own initiative; works independently with little supervision.
**Interpersonal Skills** -Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various team members both internally and externally. Excellent communication skills are required.

**KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
- **Experience Level: 10+ years** of experience with a combination of Engineering, QA and people management
- Proven experience in effective management of Agile/Scrum teams
- Expertise with test case management tools like Test Rail
- Expertise with test automation tools like Playwright
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with relational databases, especially Oracle, is a plus
- Knowledge of any of the following programming languages is a plus: SQL, JavaScript, C#
- Resourceful and self-motivated, ability to work under mínimal supervision and/or strict deadlines, on multiple projects
