**Description**

Barber Collins security is looking for a full time Security Guard to work at a clients facility in Cambridge, ON.

**Those who have access to their own personal vehicle will be preferred.**

**Shifts**:
**Week 1**:

- Friday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm
- Saturday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Sunday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Wednesday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm
- Thursday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm

**Week 2**:

- Friday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm
- Monday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm
- Tuesday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm
- Wednesday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm
- Thursday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols.
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- High-volume access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
