On a September day in 1934, Antonio Disipio established the Preston Hotel from his Preston Street home. Although the windows on the front read “Purveyors of Beer and Wine”, Antonio’s kitchen became famous for its meatball sandwiches, pasta dishes and unique, original square pizzas. Our bar and restaurant continue that tradition today Our home has changed with expansion over the years but the tradition of our hearty Italian food and our famous square pizza continues today.

We are currently looking for a server to join the Prescott team in Little Italy Ottawa.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner
- Maintain a consistency of service
- Follow Steps of Service to ensure consistent experience
- Strong knowledge of menu and offerings and be able to make suggestions based on the guests needs
- Communicate effectively with Front of House and Back of House
- Responsible for creating, pouring and serving drinks
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Ability to manage large groups
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Comply with food and beverage regulations
- Properly Handle Cash & credit card transactions
- Effectively communicate with team and offer support as their needs may require
- Create Positive Shareable Experiences
- Other duties as assigned

**Keeping Safe**:

- We will provide you with all the personal protective equipment
- masks, gloves and sanitizers
- All colleagues will be required to attend a COVID-19 specific Health & Safety training session before attending their first shift
- Mandatory social distancing measures on our venues

**Must Haves**:

- Exceptional service skills
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Commitment to quality guest service and hospitality
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under varying degrees of busyness
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Meet productivity standards and complete work using time efficiently
- 5+ years serving experience required
- Smart serve required
