Join us today *** **Key Responsibilities** - Ensures the highest quality of food is served to our guests at all times - Follows the Chow recipe and presentation specifications, ensure that recipes are being executed to the appropriate portion size, quality and quantity. - Support, maintains and fosters a collaborative working environment - Maintains the appropriate level of food inventory and station mise-en-place based on business demands - Has Advanced Knowledge of Dietary Allergens and Religious Dietary restrictions and Policies. - Understands and complies with the Allergy Policy - Understands and Follows all opening and closing checklists - Abides by all Health and Safety rules and regulations. - Understands and complies with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures. - Must successfully pass WHMIS, Culinary Equipment/ Maintenance Operations Training on a yearly basis as well as all other assigned company training modules to be completed by the appropriate due date in Precipio or as assigned. - Works in a Safe manner at all times being aware of all safety hazards - Ensures all food products are labeled and dated with best before dates at all times - Ensures all food is properly rotated and stored at all times, ensuring all waste is controlled within their areas. Ensures that all fridge’s, freezers and storage areas are maintained to the highest degree and food is used using the FIFO method of rotation - Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter. - Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned. *** **What You’ll Require** - Minimum 2 years Culinary Experience, Asian cuisine experience an asset - Minimum 2 years experience working in a restaurant kitchen environment - Conduct regular taste tests and visual inspections to ensure all dishes meet or exceed quality standards - Ability to use their experience to train in soup, noodle and wok cooking techniques including stir-frying, deep frying and sautéing, marinating, braising - Required to be able to deal with a high-pressure environment and exhibit “grace under pressure” - Must have a Passion for Food - All employees at Casino Rama are expected to: - Comply with the duties of workers or supervisors, as prescribed by Section 27 or 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act - Comply with all applicable Casino Rama Occupational Health and Safety policies, procedures and protocols - Demonstrate a positive health and safety attitude to ensure Casino Rama continuously provides a safe entertainment destination for patrons and co-workers **What Is Next** - _ - **Gateway will post/recruit in accordance with the terms and conditions of applicable Collective Agreements_ - _ "Play Smart"
