**Description**

This position is for a Retail Associate role in the **Seafood Department.**

Located at the CF Shops At Don Mills in North York, Toronto, McEwan Gourmet Grocery is a gourmet marketplace by celebrity chef Mark McEwan that serves as a one-stop shop for premium, high quality products. At McEwan Gourmet Grocery, customers will see a wide selection of specialty and hard-to-find items unavailable anywhere else in Toronto.

**Overview**

The Retail Counter Associate is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties outlined by the McEwan seafood department in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Retail Seafood Associate will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

**Job Requirements**:

- Operate the seafood counter and communicate directly with McEwan customers
- Handle and prepare seafood products in accordance with the company’s quality standards
- Demonstrate growth in product knowledge and remain aware of product information
- Accurately records information in all appropriate inventory logs
- Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures
- Keep work area clean and presentable at all times

**Job Qualifications**:

- Fluent in English
- Exceptional customer service skills with a drive for building customer loyalty
- Previous experience in the food retail industry is preferred, seafood experience is an asset
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate/listen
