DreamWorks Tree Services is looking for an experienced and reliable **Equipment Operator - Forestry Mulching Machine**to join our team

The Equipment Operator for our Forestry Mulching Machine is responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery, specifically a forestry mulching machine, to clear land, remove vegetation, and perform related tasks for forestry and land management projects. This position requires proficiency in operating heavy equipment, as well as knowledge of safety procedures, environmental regulations, and forestry practices. The individual will also work alongside the Arboriculture crew and may need to use chainsaws as part of their responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain a forestry mulching machine to clear land, remove vegetation, and perform related tasks in accordance with project specifications, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment, including checking fluid levels, inspecting parts for damage or wear, and performing routine maintenance tasks as needed.
- Safely and efficiently operate forestry mulching machine to clear vegetation, remove trees, and grind stumps and debris.
- Use a chainsaw to assist with tree removal and other related tasks, as required.
- Monitor and manage work site conditions including identifying potential hazards
- Collaborate with the Arboriculture crew to coordinate tasks and ensure project goals are met.
- Follow established safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license with a clean abstract, and possession of an AR/DZ license is considered an asset.
- Ability to operate a chainsaw safely and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Physical stamina and strength to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time, in various weather conditions and rough terrains.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment.
