Position Overview

Are you passionate about Houdini and eager to share your knowledge with others? SideFX is expanding its marketing team and is in search of a Houdini Technical Advocate. This role is perfect for someone with a strong desire to inspire and educate the computer graphics community. As a Houdini Technical Advocate, you'll collaborate with talented colleagues who take pride in creating industry-leading 3D computer graphics technology for top studios worldwide.

The Houdini Technical Advocate will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of Houdini in the 3D industry. As a public representative of SideFX, you'll often be the first point of contact for our customers, both online and in person. Your responsibilities will include delivering engaging technical presentations, teaching best practices, creating awareness of new features, and sharing the Houdini story.

What you will be working on
- Serve as an active and visible first point of contact for Houdini in the 3D industry.
- Educate on the use of Houdini globally through trade shows, conferences, workshops, meetups, and 3rd party media. This may involve creating and presenting technical educational Houdini content such as tutorials and presentations.
- Co-manage official social media channels - including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram - and any emerging primary communication channels.
- Establish and maintain relationships with indie artists and small 3D studios. A key objective of this task is to discover new indie artists and developers, help them understand how Houdini can contribute to their project's success, and showcase their work on our communication platforms once successful.
- Discover and promote learning material created by the community.
- Point person for indie community education initiatives: game jams, art challenges, workshops / bootcamps, etc.
