**CDE Engineering Ltd.** is a privately owned Calgary-based full-service engineering firm. We specialize in providing engineering procurement and construction management services for Canada's energy sector, focusing on the upstream and midstream segments of the oil and gas industry.

**Role Description**:
We seek a highly organized and efficient Procurement Expeditor to join our team. The Procurement Expeditor will play a vital role in supporting our procurement operations, ensuring timely and efficient procurement of materials and equipment necessary for our projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Reports to**:

- Project Manager

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Monitor the status of purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment from suppliers to meet project requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Work closely with the project managers, project engineers, and other departments to ensure procurement requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and maintain status reports.
- Shop expediting purchase orders, as required.
- Initiate the close-out of purchase orders.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues affecting a purchase order.
- Attend status meetings with clients, project management and suppliers.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Two or more years of procurement experience is preferred. Expediting experience in an engineering, procurement, or construction background will be considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Ability to work without supervision.
