Boart Longyear is the world’s leading provider of drilling services, drilling equipment, and performance tooling for mining and drilling companies globally. The company’s Global Drilling Services division operates in over 40 countries with a diverse mining customer base spanning a wide range of commodities, including copper, gold, nickel, zinc, uranium, and other metals and minerals.

Yard labour is hard physical work can be carried out both inside and outside in extreme climatic conditions. Incumbents may put up with dust, dirt, mud, grease, insects, extreme temperatures and other outdoor and manual work related conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

- Organizes the yard
- Operates a variety of machinery
- Manages shop inventory
- Assists in loading and unloading of drill mobilizations and demobilizations
- Works with Operations to assist in the necessary tasks to complete drilling services.
- General labour as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Typically requires High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of the drilling industry is an asset.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Vast knowledge of machinery (large forklifts, skid steers, dozers, skidders).
- Able to maintain records and inventory.
- Dedicated to working in a safe manner.
- Committed team player.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
