We are currently seeking a
**ETL/DatastageDeveloper** to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).

**ETL/SSIS Developer**
- Plan and Lead ETL development projects including strategic Architecture, design, and implementation
- Work in a data warehouse environment which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation
- Analyze architecture blueprints and design plus build integration flows using the IIS Datastage platform
- Oversee creation and approval of technical documentation including the Solution Definition document and Technical Design document
- Provide expert level for ETL design, development, performance management and administration support
- Supporting integration and tuning connections with data sources such as SalesForce, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
- Working on integrating Rest APIs with the Datastage jobs
- Possess good knowledge of PL/SQL / Stored Procedures, DB2
- Develop complex SQL queries for small to large sets of data and lead query optimization efforts
- Design and architect artifacts using Data Modeling concepts
- Design and develop SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views and triggers to be used during the ETL process
- Designing databases and some data sourcing/ETL requirements for efficient use in reporting
- Provide support and participate in design and implementation of ETL processes and procedures
- May work with internal business process owners, business SME's
- Work in an environment with little supervision and participate in team strategizing, and vision execution/ implementation of the reporting
- Work with various customers, prospects and stakeholders, understands and translates business use cases and/or requirements into data models, data integration routines and analytic reports
- Monitoring daily/other database jobs and data loads and proactive resolution of issues to ensure maximum uptime/availability of database for reporting

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated achievement in Professional and/or academics pursuits
- high GPA, academic honors, etc
- Responsible for data profiling SQL and database tuning / optimization
- 5+ years of experience with Datastage ETL development
- Data Specialist with experience mainly in ETL DataStage
- Experience mainly in ETL DataStage
- Experience with additional industry standard ETL tools (Pentaho, Informatica)
- Document Runbooks for the installs, Disaster Recovery plans
