**Commercial Loan Underwriter Job Duties**

A commercial loan underwriter typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Communicating with borrowers throughout the loan process to ensure they are fully aware of their responsibilities and next steps
- Calculating interest rates and other variables to determine the borrower’s monthly payment amount
- Reviewing financial statements and other documentation to determine if the borrower has sufficient assets to repay the loan
- Developing strategies to increase loan approval rates for difficult-to-fund projects or businesses
- Reviewing financial statements and other documentation to determine whether the proposed terms of a loan are reasonable for the borrower and the lender
- Preparing loan packages for submission to underwriting committees for approval

**Salary**: $53,022.68-$74,666.48 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:
