**Truck Driver**:
Our team in **Brampton** currently has an opening for a **Truck Driver**

**YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ensure product is delivered accurately and damage-free to customers.
- Ensure assigned unit is in safe working condition by completing a daily pre-trip/post-trip inspection, arrangement for all repairs to be made with all reports completed and submitted to the supervisor.
- Ensure all safety rules and regulations, both government and corporate, are followed. Compliance with customer rules is mandatory providing they are not in contravention of Brenntag Canada Inc policies.
- Assisting in the preparation of the following workday’s delivery schedule allowing for proper weight distribution, product segregation, customer requirements, special instructions and the most economical route.
- Ensure documents comply with legal requirements before transporting and ensure all packages are in compliance before delivery.
- Pick up product from suppliers and customers ensuring documents are correct and quantities, package sizes and descriptions match.
- Pick up empty packages and pallets from customers following all Brenntag Canada Inc policies and ensuring all documents are correct.
- Assist in training and support of all employees in training.
- Focus on the immediate task at hand to ensure that job is done safety and correctly
- Anticipate changes that could affect your safety or others and how to react to them
- Pre-plan work and look for potential hazards, missing safeguards and risk reduction opportunities.
- Acknowledge and describe at risk practices or short cuts to the person who performed them (regardless of department)
- Must be able to do cross boarder pick-ups. Will require driver to have a fast card and twic card.

**YOUR PROFILE**:
**Technical Competencies**:

- Requires a driver's license and air brake endorsement relating to the equipment being operated.
- Holds valid A-Z license
- No criminal record
- Clean driver's abstract
- Post-Secondary Education
- Trained in defensive driving
- 3 years of experience
- Must have a good understanding of the Highway Traffic Act as it reflects on truck driving
