Allied Motion Technologies Inc is a growing global leader in the motion control industry that has an exciting opportunity for a** **CONTROLLER **to join our recent acquisition of FPH in London, ON.
As the Controller, you will be responsible to plans, organizes, directs, and controls all accounting and financial operations concerned with the compilation and analysis of reports and statistical statements, in a manner which will effectively control all financial expenditures and properly reflect the financial status of a site of the company.
**P**rimary Responsibilities**:
- Develops, implements, and maintains of all accounting, control and systems, accounting policies and procedures, records, and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with SOX policies and government regulations
- Prepares financial statements and cost statements, capital budgets, forecasting, operating budgets, government required reporting and strategic plans.
- Monitors and maintains cash disbursements, collection, and accounts receivable.
- Be a trusted advisor for management for financial decision-making and financial controls/processes
- Manage cross-border finance and transfer pricing between related corporations
- Co-ordinating capital requests and tracking of approved capital into fixed asset database
- Coordination of financial portion of SR&ED claims
- Driven to ensure all key performance indicator targets are met
- Provide accurate information on standard costing for bid estimation process
- Follow and manage compliance to requirements as required by Controlled Goods
- Registration and other sector registrations (e.g. ITAR)
- Acts as a company liaison with corporate accounting staff regarding maintenance of the company books of account and company assets in accordance with principles and regulations.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial management role with direct reports
- Excellent communication skills and Microsoft experience to include advanced Excel knowledge.
- Experience with an ERP system, preferred
- Able to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and positive team attitude
