**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. (“Triton”) is seeking a highly-motivated and enthusiastic** Intermediate Marine Biologist **to join a well-established team of environmental professionals in our Vancouver office.
- Leading field programs as directed by project requirements (e.g., baseline surveys and monitoring of marine fish and fish habitat, habitat offsetting, salvage, water quality, acoustics)
- Providing technical skills in marine aquatic biology with the ability to design and lead study programs that address the needs of a project
- Advising clients on regulatory requirements, environmental risks, and practical solutions in relation to marine projects
- Preparation of environmental plans and reports for stakeholders
- Developing and submitting quality deliverables on time
- Supporting the Business Development team in preparing proposal responses as well as fostering and building client relationships
- Promoting safety culture and complying with safety protocols
- Providing mentorship and direction for junior staff; and
- Working collaboratively within the Triton corporate culture

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- A registered professional biologist in BC (R.P.Bio.) with a B.Sc.; an M.Sc. would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of five years experience in marine science
- Thorough understanding of applicable environmental legislation, regulations, and policies to ensure project-specific compliance
- MED-A3 certification would be an asset
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Able to communicate effectively with critical thinking
- Proven ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license from a Canadian province or Territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting
- Willingness to keep up-to-date with current marine information and research
- Willingness to travel to project locations
