Our Laundry team is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the linens for our hotels.

**RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**:

- Sort soiled linens.
- Weigh laundry loads.
- Program, load and unload the industrial washers and dryers.
- Fold, sort and deliver clean linens.
- General care of equipment; report any malfunctioning equipment or unsafe conditions.
- Use and maintain cleaning products, materials, and equipment safely and correctly.
- Assist with linen inventory and record processed linens.

- Assist other departments and coworkers where necessary.

- Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
- Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and leaders.
- Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
- Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.

**QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- High level of attention to detail and energy.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast paced environment
- Proven positive interaction skills
- Must be capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including but not limited to, lifting 25-50 lbs. at one time, pushing carts, standing for long periods of time, bending, stretching, and enduring repetitive movements involving arms, shoulders, back, and wrists
- Reliable and flexible to work various shift schedules. Shifts vary according to business volumes.
- Evening shifts will generally be 12:30pm to 9pm or 1pm to 9:30pm
- Working weekends and holidays is required
- **A class 5 driver’s license and the ability to drive the one-ton Laundry delivery truck is a definite asset.**
