Victoria, Canada Island Health Full time

The Victoria Department of Psychiatry are looking for a General Psychiatrist to provide part-time services at the Coastal Sage Health Centre (CSHC). The CSHC is a 6 bed facility that provides services to women and people identifying as women, with problematic substance use, seeking residential treatment.
- Provision of psychiatry services to clients at the Coastal Sage Health House.
- Provide psychiatric assessment, consultation and diagnosis.
- Provide medical review and education.
- Work collaboratively with the Treatment Centre team to monitor clients’ clinical status, monitor clients’ response to treatment, develop treatment plans and management strategies for Treatment Centre clients.
- Provide clinical oversight as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of service by Treatment Centre team members.

Participation in the South Island General Psychiatry call rotation is a requirement of this position.

Involvement in the Island Medical Program undergraduate and postgraduate teaching program is encouraged. A University of BC affiliated appointment and membership in the Division of General Psychiatry is available.
