Job Summary:
The Inventory Planner will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. This position is responsible for efficiently planning and coordinating inventory distribution to pump shops. It reports directly to the Global Inventory Planning & Control Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel including index, vlookup, and keyboard shortcuts
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma / GED and at least 5 years of experience in working in a pump shop environment)
- Experience operating in JDE or other ERP systems

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure transfer orders are loaded into JD Edwards from field operations
- Maintain inventory replenishment settings for pump shops
- Work with distribution center staff to prioritize picking and shipping schedules to ensure parts availability
- Manage excess inventory and facilitate the moving of inventory from branch to branch.
- Consolidate excess inventory to a central location for management and redistribution.
- Lead efforts to optimize and reduce inventory on hand
- Coordinates the usage of slow-moving inventory
- Other projects as required

Essential Characteristics:

- Ability to read and follow written instructions, analyze, and interpret working drawings, technical specifications, etc.
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country in which the position is located
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions with mínimal supervision
- Must live within Red Deer area
