As an Electrical Technician/Instrumentation and Control Technician at Anaconda Systems Ltd., you will play a crucial role in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of field equipment. Your responsibilities will include electrical wiring, ensuring compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) standards. Knowledge of Modbus communication protocols is highly advantageous.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist in the installation of field equipment, including sensors, actuators, and other electrical and instrumentation devices.
Perform electrical wiring and run cables through conduits as per the required CEC standards.
Configuring Modbus communication protocols is an added advantage.
Conduct calibrations and linearizations of instrumentation equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for all tasks.
Collaborate with the engineering team to implement control strategies and optimize system performance.
Document installation processes and configurations
**Qualifications**:
Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, or a related field.
Proven experience in electrical wiring and instrumentation installation.
Strong knowledge of CEC standards and safety regulations.
Experience with Modbus communication protocols is an added advantage.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Additional certifications in instrumentation, control, or electrical systems.
Previous experience in a similar role within the industrial automation sector.
Knowledge of other PLC programming languages and protocols.
