- Student Affairs is a collection of integrated units that collaborates with faculty, staff and students to enhance the student experience. We promote an inclusive, holistic and student—centric approach to learning and academic success and act as a professional resource in the delivery of evidence-based student enrolment, wellness, development and academic support programs and services. Reporting to the Associate Director, Student Support Team, the Case Manager provides non-clinical, collaborative case management and direct student support as part of the broader Student Support Team. The Case Manager is responsible for the oversight and institutional reporting for the Code of Student Conduct and supervision of a large team of student employees who work on the campus safety team.**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide direct early intervention assessment and psycho-social and well-being support to students
- Provide case management support of complex student situations through a collaborative, holistic model that includes consultation and support to faculty and staff, direct student contact, organizing case conferences, developing complex case management plans and providing follow up and monitoring using a principled restorative approach to manage, resolve and mitigate potential issues and challenges of a serious nature occurring on campus involving students including experiences of discrimination, harassment, violence and threats.
- Leadership and operational supervision of a team of student employees who provide community safety support on campus. Manage all aspects of hiring, training, scheduling and supporting members of the Community Safety Team.
- Participate on a collaborative team in emergency planning and response for high impact events on campus and act as a response coordinator under the Student Death Protocol as assigned.
- Contribute to and deliver training and educational sessions on student psycho-social well-being to students, staff and faculty.

**Note**
- Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in related field with five years’ experience in a leadership role supporting student development, through training, supervision and/or mentoring (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Demonstrated experience providing case management, psycho-social assessment and crisis intervention support to individuals experiencing distress, including assessing risk of harm to self and others.
- Experience with operating within institutional policies that guide expectations and standards of behaviours in a structured model (such as a code of student conduct, child welfare, criminal justice legislation).
- Experience and understanding of investigative practices, principles related to assessing risk, personal safety, crime prevention and risk mitigation.
- Ability to build high performing teams
- Commitment to working in and leading an anti-oppressive, restorative model of mitigating risk and behaviour change, demonstrating a trauma informed, compassionate, education first approach to behaviour change.
