Floor Covering Installer

We are searching for a capable flooring installer to join our company.
- Performs inspections
- Consult with clients to deliver appropriate flooring solutions
- If possible, estimate and advise clients about foreseeable material and labour costs before installation begins
- Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding
- Clear the work surface from dust, debris, and obstructions
- Measure, cut and install carpeting using hand or machine stitcher, seaming iron, bonding tape or other bonding materials
- Stretch carpeting using knee-kicker or power stretcher and secure carpeting to floor or other surfaces using staple gun or other devices
- Measure, cut and install resilient floor covering using adhesive, rollers and other hand tools
- Install hardwood floors, such as strip floors, block floors or plank floors, using glue, staples, nails or other means
- Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
- Adhere to the protocols while observing standard safety guidelines
- Install sheet vinyl goods and seam the sheet vinyl with heat welding
- Install herringbone style glue down hardwood and vinyl plank goods
- Install flash coving vinyl and seam with heat welding
**Qualifications**:
- Completion of secondary school-High School Diploma
- 2-3 years of prior experience as a flooring installer
- Capable of independent and group work
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities
This is a permanent, full-time job
**Salary**: $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
