Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Custodian will conduct general building maintenance and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the facility

**Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years of previous cleaning experience
- Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-starter and team player
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Follows written and verbal instructions well
- Previous experience working as a custodian/sanitation worker in a manufacturing setting is considered an asset
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneeling, and reach for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all common areas, public spaces and washrooms are serviced and cleaned daily
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Vacuuming carpets
- Sanitizing high tough points
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of all bathroom facilities and locker rooms including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors and floors
- Replenishing soaps, hand sanitizer, toilet tissue, paper towel and sanitary napkins
- Dusting of work areas, word work, furniture, baseboards, and other equipment
- Emptying waste baskets, garbage bins, recycle bins and transports garbage and recycling from drop points to designated garbage bins or compactor
- Clean walls, partitions, light switches, doors, window sills
- Clean and polish chrome and other polished metal surfaces
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is kept clean, well maintained and properly stored in a safe an orderly manner
- Ensure that the cleaning supply closet is organized and maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials
